"As a parent myself, I have first-hand experience of supporting child development in everyday life. I appreciate the challenges of parenthood and understand the need for accessible and effective support for children with, and without, special educational needs.
I have gained professional experience on placement within a complex needs school and regular work within mainstream early years and primary school settings since qualifying as an occupational therapist. Additionally, I have worked with children and their families in their own homes. I have always had a keen interest in physical development and have spent time reviewing literature that explores evidence relating to children’s motor skill interventions for developmental coordination disorder."
